The Talent Acquisition Specialist establishes and fosters a consultative relationship with hiring managers by partnering to understand their business requirements, supports workforce planning and oversees the entire recruitment and selection process from marketing the Aviva employment brand in the external labour market, sourcing the labour market, conducting assessments, recommending candidates to hiring managers and presenting and negotiating employment offers.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing candidates using a variety of tools and techniques, including, but not limited to, the Aviva Canada career site, on-line job boards (general and industry specific), post-secondary institutions, community job fairs, professional networking, and other sourcing efforts. Other responsibilities include providing instruction and assistance to all job applicants, educating hiring managers on recruitment processes and policies, and working with the HR team to effectively plan for current and future staffing requirements. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of relevant employment legislation and have strong verbal and written communication skills, in addition to, effective negotiating skills and knowledge of behavioural-based interviewing.

What you’ll be doing:
Handle incoming calls in a mature and professional manner.

Minimum High School Diploma.
